DataFinch Technologies COO, Stephen Donaldson, chats with head researcher Linda LeBlanc about this project.
Since our inception, DataFinch Technologies has been committed to providing services and products of the highest quality for our users and furthering the science of behavior analysis for everyone. In the process, and over the past several years, we have seen our database grow to nearly one billion data points, and we feel like this is the perfect time to merge the two. To that end, DataFinch is embarking on a new research effort, and we are asking for your help.
Under the direction of Linda LeBlanc, Ph.D., BCBA-D, we hope to use this data, scrubbed of all identifying information and protected by every safeguard at our disposal, to answer some empirical questions that, until now, have been effortful to study and understudied (e.g., What is the longest or shortest interval that you should use for sampling data to get reasonably accurate data?).
Each Catalyst organization has been given the opportunity to opt their data out of the research, however, the more data we have the better. The wealth of useful information that you have helped accumulate is incredible. Because of you, we have access to the kind of data that is the stuff of dreams for data geeks like us. Imagine our excitement in being able to harness that for the good of the science and, more importantly, for the good of the people you serve every day.
